It's the president's 72nd birthday, and Trump's favorite Twitter adversaries are celebrating in a big way.

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend have long been vocal about their disagreements with the Trump administration, so when the president's 72nd birthday rolled around, the family took it as an opportunity to raise money for the American Civil Liberties Union — and they're urging their fans and followers to do the same.

"John and I are outraged to see and hear the horror stories of immigrant families seeking asylum and refuge in America being ripped apart due to the inhumane policies of the Trump administration," reads a statement Teigen posted on social media. She's referring to the countless reports of children being held in facilities without their parents as a result of Attorney General Jeff Sessions' "zero tolerance" immigration policy.

"These actions are cruel, anti-family, and go against everything we believe this country should represent," she continued. "The ACLU is committed to defending the rights and humanity of these vulnerable families." Teigen's statement goes on to list the causes the ACLU advocates for, including criminal justice reform and "holding the Trump administration accountable whenever possible."

"On this auspicious occasion, in order to Make Trump's Birthday Great Again, each member of our family has donated $72,000 to the ACLU," she wrote, encouraging folks to join them by donating any amount, from $7.20 to $72.

The statement is signed by Teigen and Legend, as well as their children, which suggests that the donations from their family will total at least $288,000.

Fans tweeted their support in response to the generous donation. Some opened up their own wallets, while others joked about the wealth Teigen's children have amassed already.

Teigen and Legend aren't the only celebrities using their platforms to speak out about the treatment of immigrant families.

As reported by Billboard, Chance the Rapper, Padma Lakshmi, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and others have all tweeted their support for reuniting families currently ripped apart.

Families Belong Together is also spearheading protests today across the country to continue to bring awareness to the effects of this administration's immigration policies. You can donate to the ACLU with Teigen and Legend at aclu.org/72.
